Commack Shelving and Furniture Arrives!

Benches have been installed on either side of the flag pole adjacent to the new entrance of the Commack Branch.

Chairs and furniture of all types have arrived in the main reference area and are being assembled for placement.

Framework for the shelving is being installed in the stack area.

The individual shelves are being placed on the framework with books and other materials soon to follow!





Smithtown Exterior Work Progresses!

Tyvek, a vapor barrier, is being used to cover the outside walls. The exterior brick wall will be installed in the coming days.

Commack Branch Nears Completion!

The security fencing has been removed and the final asphalt driveway has been completed as well as the new energy efficient exterior lighting.



New protective railings have been installed adjacent to the exterior stairways.


Almost home! Storage trailers are on site with library materials which are ready to be returned to the Commack Branch.


Decorative ceiling tiles in the Children's Department create a festive atmosphere!

Smithtown Floor and Exterior Wall Studs are Installed



Workers begin pouring the concrete on the first floor of the Smithtown Building. This area will be the future Children's Department.
