Steel and concrete work underway at Nesconset

The crane lifts a steel beam to be installed on the new roof.

Workers prepare the steel for the new skylights in the future main room of the Nesconset Branch.


The old rifle range has been renovated by adding windows and doors. This formerly unusable space will be an asset to the Library!

An exterior view of the old rifle range complete with cutouts for windows and doors. Workers are bricking up the old windows on the upper level for the main room of the Library that will include the Reference and Circulation Departments along with a large reading area.

Work on the Commack interior and foundation continues


The former reference desk area and home of the future elevator on the main level undergo renovation.

The exterior foundation walls have been poured. Construction will continue once the concrete has cured.

Work continues at Commack!

The future home of our new Children's Department starts to take shape.

The forms and steel bars are in place for the concrete to be poured for the footings.
